As a small market town Evesham doesn’t have the vast array of properties available in larger cities and towns. However it has a range of family homes and period properties available, with countryside on all sides of the town. The Cotswolds AONB is only a short drive away. Evesham is a market town and parish in the Wychavon district of Worcestershire, with a population of 23,576 according to the 2011 census.
The town was founded in around an 8th Century abbey, one of the largest in Europe which was destroyed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries with only Abbot Lichfield’s Bell Tower remaining.
Evesham was the site of the Battle of Evesham on the 4th August 1265. The original part of Evesham sits in the loop of the River Avon.
