One of our local advisors is based in a well-known estate agent in their Cinderford office.
The benefits of using local advisors are because they will know a lot more about the area and the history of it to be able to share with their clients when deciding whether or not to purchase a property in that area.
Cinderford is a small town located to the east of the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. In a census in 2011 the population was said to be 8,494 increasing from 8,116 in 2001. Cinderford as a town only really came into existence in the 19th century and therefore still relatively young.
It is well known for a long time for its coal mining industry.
As like all towns the range of properties available is vast. From smaller one-bedroom flats in the centre of town to larger three/four bedroom properties further out in the countryside such as Mitcheldean and Bidmead Cook.
The main part of town consists of long rows of terraced houses which are all identical.

When the coal industry began to decline from the 1950s to the 1960s Cinderford as a town suffered as the majority of the male population in the town were working in coal mining.

Other than the coal mining industry in the past, the town is now home to industries such as light and heavy industries, along with a wide range of others.
